“Where in the world am I?” Rubbing the sleep from your eyes, you looked around at your unfamiliar surroundings. After a few seconds, everything came back to you. “O-oh, right.” You were on Lotor's ship, where ever that may be. As of now, you weren't sure if you should consider yourself a prisoner, or an unwilling guest. There was only one way to find out though, and it didn't involve staying in bed all day. Pushing back the heavy purple blankets that covered what you assumed was going to be your bed from now until who knew when, you noticed a set of fresh clothes waiting in a nearby chair. Since there was no one else in the room to lay claim to the clothes, and they looked to be your size, you quickly slipped off what you were wearing and changed. Just as you were finishing up, there was a gentle, rhythmic knock at your door, which you responded to immediately and without thought. “Come in.”

With your permission, the door was slowly opened, allowing Lotor to step inside the tiny room. As soon as he saw what you were wearing, his lips twisted into a pleased smile. “I take it you slept well?”

You opened your mouth to answer him, only to realize that you didn't remember going to bed. You didn't remember getting on his ship either. Eyes suddenly wide, you stared up at him. “Did you drug me?” Your blunt question caused his smile to vanish as if it had never been there in the first place. “I don't remember falling asleep at all.”

“Did I drug you?” Shaking his head, Lotor clicked his tongue at you in a disappointed, somewhat sarcastic way. “What a very rude way to greet your host.”

Lotor may have been scolding you for asking such a rude question, but he hadn't denied it. Taking a step closer to him, you narrowed your eyes slightly as you tried to judge his expression. If he wouldn't admit to drugging you out loud, maybe his body language would admit his guilt for him. “Did you though?”

“No, of course not.” His flippant answer didn't convince you, and he knew it. “I had Ezor do that for me.”

“Ha!” Proud that you had been right all along, at least to a point, you beamed with pride. “I knew it. You tried to throw me off the trail, but you couldn't.” As you gloated over your small victory, Lotor remained completely silent. This meant that you could have continued on, but something about his all too calm smile made you hesitant to do so. “S-so anyway, what's your end game here? Why am I on your ship?”

Once again, instead of answering your question, Lotor met you with one of his own. As he spoke, he slowly stepped further into the room. “Do you not remember anything from before?”

“No, I do.” Honestly, much of what you remembered was a bit hazy, but as you thought on it for a moment, the details became a bit clearer. “We were playing a game, and then I kissed you. You wanted me to explain myself or something like that, but you never gave me a chance, not that I needed to explain in the first place because it should have been obvious.” Pausing for a split second, you gave him a sideways glance. “Anyway, the last thing I remember before waking up, is you carrying me off, even though I distinctly remember telling you to put me down.”

“I see.” Your last sentence caused his lip to twitch, just barely enough to see, with amusement. Apparently he found the idea of you telling him to do anything, and expecting that he would obey, to be funny. “And is that all you remember?”

“Pretty much.” You nodded. “Why? Did I forget something important.”

“Maybe.” Standing in front of you once more, Lotor took your chin in his hand and looked over your features. It was almost like he was assessing you for some reason. Whatever he was doing, it was making you terribly self-conscious and nervous. “It's possible.”

“What did I forget?” Unable to take his stare, or his touch, any longer, you took a large step back. “Tell me.”

“Shh, you need to calm down.” Sighing, Lotor took your hand in his. Until now, you hadn't been aware that it was possible to sigh in such a regal, melodic way. But then again, everything Lotor did oozed with a confident magnificence, so you really shouldn't have been so surprised. “Come with me.”

Too curious to argue with him, you followed Lotor out of your room into a large, empty hallway.  Once there, he stopped in front of a circular window. Outside this window, as far as the eye could see, was nothing but darkness. There were no planets, stars or any other ships anywhere. It was like this ship was completely alone in the middle of nowhere. That thought, for some reason, caused your whole body to go cold and numb. Though you didn't exactly have a home planet to go back to, if you did, you doubted you would ever see it again. “W-where are we?”

“I could tell you, but I doubt you would recognize the location.” Standing beside you, looking out into the darkness, Lotor placed his hand on the center of your back. “Just know that you will be here for a while.”

The serious, yet somehow forlorn look in his eyes made you hesitant to say anything, but you couldn't stop yourself. “Here like, on your ship, or here in this particular part of space?”

Still staring into space, he said nothing for several long seconds. “Both.”

“Oh, okay.” Trying to be respectful of the mood, which Lotor had decided was to be somber for whatever reason, you attempted not to ask any more questions. You managed to keep quiet for about a minute, but after that you found it nearly impossible to hold back. There was just too much you wanted to know. After all, you did have a right to know what was going on, and he still hadn't explained anything. “Why? Do you have some sort of job for me or something?”

Closing his eyes, Lotor let out a weak laugh as he shook his head. “You are full of questions today, aren't you?”

“Well yeah.” You nodded. “I woke up someone's prisoner with no idea where I am or why I'm even here.” You had expected that stating your situation out loud would have caused reality to hit you, but it didn't. Either you weren't really all that worried about what was going on, or you were a lot tougher than you gave yourself credit for. You weren't sure which statement was true, but you suspected that you would probably find out before too long. “There are a lot of questions that need answering and you're not answering any of them.”

“I will, in time.” Naively hoping that you would accept that answer, Lotor turned his eyes back to the window.

Not even a second after this, you asked yet another question. “Like, a long time or...?”

The calm expression on Lotor's face broke with that inquiry. He didn't look mad, not exactly, but you could tell that you had asked one question too many. “That's enough.” Arms crossed, you looked down at you. “I will explain everything to you when I see fit to do so.” The look in his thin, golden eyes carried an unspoken warning, one that you understood loud and clear. “Until then, I do suggest you find ways to make yourself comfortable.”

“W-wait, don't go yet.” Grasping his wrist in your hand before you could stop yourself, you tried in vain to pull him back to you. “Since I'm going to be here a while, maybe someone should give me a tour.” It was an odd suggestion for you to make, but you had to find a way to lighten the mood. If you were going to be here as long as he made it seem, the last thing you wanted was for your captor, or host, whichever it was, to be upset with you. “You know, so I can actually make myself comfortable.”

“I'm a busy person, but I suppose since I've already wasted this much time, wasting a bit more really won't matter.” There was a heavy undertone of sarcasm in his voice, but his eyes were smiling, making it all but impossible for you to know how he really felt. Before you could even attempt to figure out what he was feeling, he slipped his fingers between yours and started down the hall. “Come on.”

“Great! I was hoping you would say yes.” Despite still being greatly concerned for your well being, you smiled wide, putting on the bravest face you could muster. “How about we start this tour with the kitchen. I'm starved.”

The heavy atmosphere that had surrounded the two of you just a moment before now lifted, Lotor returned your smile with one of his own. “I should have known.”

I have a feeling that this is a continuation of Lotor’s part of Seven Minutes in Heaven?
