Hakuouki Seven Minutes In Heaven Kazama Chikage

       “Alright, that last turn went surprisingly well, so maybe I'm actually getting the hang of this.” With a thoughtful look, Souji tapped his chin and tried to pick the next player. While busy with this task, he failed to notice the danger looming just outside the room. Strong arms wrapped around your waist just before you felt yourself being pulled away from the group. You only managed to scream before a large hand slapped over your mouth. The sound of your scream alerted Souji, causing him to spin around just in time to see you disappear into the darkness. “What in the world?”

“Just stay quiet and we shouldn't have any problems.” Scared to death, you didn't even try to fight your captor, you just hoped someone would find you. You could only watch as he carried you farther and farther away from the hideout. After what felt like a long time of running, you were lowered to the ground. “I wouldn't try to run if I were you.”

Despite the darkness, you recognized his face in an instant. There were wanted posters of him all over town. The fear you felt before was nothing to the terror you now felt. Stumbling backwards to get away from him, you could make no sound at all.

“Of course, of all the girls I'd have to get you.” Your fear both upset him, and caused him puff up with pride. “How is it you walk into the Shinsegumi hideout without hesitation, but become completely frozen by your fears when taken by a single man?” He slowly stepped towards you with a wicked grin on his pale face.

You tried to scream again, but only a weak squeaking sound came out. Having backed yourself straight into a large flowering tree, you swallowed hard and forced a quiet, mousy voice from your throat. “P-please.”

The fact that you'd actually said something caused his strange smile to grow even more menacing. “Please what? You'll have to be more specific than that.” Kazama placed his hands on either side of your trembling body, trapping you there to insure you couldn't run away. Lowering his face down to yours just slightly, he stared down at you with inhuman, mocking eyes. “Well?”

Struggling to keep your knees from collapsing, you took several deep breaths before opening your mouth. “Y-you're scaring me. Please stop.” You'd expected to sound weak, but you hadn't expected to sound as completely helpless and pathetic as you had.

“I'm scaring you? I haven't even done anything yet.” Your confession pleased him. Apparently, he liked the idea of being feared. “How exactly am I scaring you? If you explained it to me, I think I'd understand a little better.”

“Y-you know exactly why I'm scared. You just pulled me away from the group and drug out into the woods with you.” As you spoke, you heard the sound of people pushing through the forest. Just the thought of being saved, gave you enough courage to speak your mind. “If that's not scary enough, you're a wanted man. I don't know what for, but judging by how many people are looking for you, it has to be for something horrible.”

Kazama slowly pulled himself away from you as his smile began to fade. “I see. That's quite the observation you've managed to make, and in such a very short time.” As the footsteps grew closer to the two of you, he dropped his hands away from your body and turned away. “It is possible that I misjudged you, but it's impossible for even me to tell in this short amount of time. We'll have to continue this another time. You can expect to see me again, and soon.”

As everyone closed in to where you were standing, Kazama simply, vanished. The darkness broke as Souji and several others appeared carrying small lanterns and torches. Seeing you brought everyone a loud sigh of relief. But the relief only lasted for a few seconds. Everyone became very on edge once they noticed Kazama was gone. “Where did Kazama go? Are you alright?”

A shiver ran up and down your spine, causing every single tiny hair on your body to raise and more importantly, letting you know that he was still very near. “Oh, I'm perfectly alright, believe it or not. Unfortunately, after that, I don't think I'll be leaving my house again. Not for a very, long time.”
