You and Germany had spent all day out in town, doing random things together. It would have been a lovely day had it not been for the sudden downpour that started. Well that, and the fact that Germany's overall attitude was extremely awkward and suspicious. The two of you were now in his car, completely drenched. “Well, that was fun. I needed another shower today anyway.” You smiled wide at Germany.”
“Yeah. Sorry about that. The weather didn't call for any rain today.” Germany fiddled around with his keys until finally getting them in the ignition. Now the car wouldn't start. He sighed. “It's just one thing after another. Stay in here, a don't want you any more wet.” Germany got out of the car, opened up the hood and started looking around. A few minutes later he got back in, looking like a wet puppy. “I think I fixed it.” He did, the car started without a problem.
“Yay. Go German engineering.” You side hugged him as you two started down the road.
“I really am sorry today got so messed up. It wasn't supposed to turn out like this.” He blushed and stared straight ahead.
You shook your head. “It wasn't messed up at all. I always have fun when I'm with you. No matter what we do. Besides, I like the rain.”
“If you say so.” He sighed. “Things still didn't go as planned though.” Now at his home, he jumped out of the car and opened the door for you. You both made a mad dash for the front porch. It began to thunder and lightning. “The rain's really coming down now isn't it? Looks like we came home just in time.” Germany let you in the house. Italy was there waiting, smiling from ear to ear.
“Heya Germany. Did you ask her yet? What did she say?” Italy was bouncing around the house excitedly. “Come on Germany tell me already.”
Germany's face was bright red. You couldn't tell if it was from anger or embarrassment though. “No Italy. I didn't ask her. Now be quiet before I stuff you in the dryer again.”
“What? But why not-a? That was the whole reason you went out with her today!” Italy seemed devastated that what ever was supposed to happen today didn't. “Germany, you're going to loose her if you don't ask soon-a.”
“Ask me what?” By now you were curious, you really wanted to know what was upsetting Italy so much.
Germany still said nothing. He just stood there, shuffling his feet. “Fine, I'll-a tell her then.” Italy walked over to Germany and began looking through the inside of his soaked jacket. “Here it is.” He placed something in Germany's hand and tried to shove him towards you. “Y-you're too heavy. Just ask her.”
“B-but.” Germany cleared his throat and walked to stand in front of you. “I'm sorry this sin't exactly romantic. I planned it out to be.” His face was deep red. Slowly he dropped to one knee, still not looking at you he held the small black box up for you to see.
You tackled Germany to the ground, kissing all over his face. “Yes, yes, yes.” You continued to kiss and hug him as he sat up.
“Really? I didn't even ask yet.” He laughed. “I guess I was worried for nothing then.” He hugged you back tight. “Sorry if I was acting weird. I was afraid you would say no.”
“You were acting a little weird. But I can understand that.” You laughed. “I just hope there's a ring in that box. Because now if there's not I'm going to be pretty disappointed.”
“Of course.” Germany opened the ring box and placed the wedding ring on your finger. It fit you perfectly.
“Yay. You finally did it-a.” Italy hugged you both. “It's a bout time-a too. Germany's been trying to ask you forever you know. He planned out asking you at least a dozen times before-a.” Italy laughed until he saw the stern look on Germany's face. “I'll-a go now. Forget I said anything.” Italy ran away as fast as he could.
You hugged Germany tight. “Well, I guess if I ever need to know any of your secrets I know who to talk to, don't I?”
Germany kissed you. “Nein, I won't keep secrets from you. I promise.” He smiled sweetly, brushing the wet strands of hair from your face. “Now, lets go change, we're still soaked.”
