Where She Lives Scotland X Reader

        You were out on the water, in the same boat, in the same weather conditions as you always were when you encountered the Loch Ness monster. Clouds loomed overhead threatening to soak you at any moment. It would be worth it though. No matter how many times you saw her, the excitement never went away. "Are you ready for this?" Scotland opened up the barrel letting the now familiar smell of the pungent cheese escape. It didn't make your eyes water like it used to, but it still burned your sinuses without fail. "She should be on her way now that the smell was out." He gave you a bright smile. "You getting excited?"

You nodded, how could you nod be? Today was the day you tried to ride on Nessie's back. "Very, I just hope I can do it." The water rippled next to the boat.

"Well, we're about to find out aren't we lass?" He waved the cheese over the side of the boat and called for her. Nessie quickly brought her beautiful dragon like body above the water's surface. It was amazing how a creature as large as she could simply float on the surface. "I've gotten her here, now it's your turn."

You gulped back your fears, took another treat of cheese into your hand and calmly fed her. She ate from your palm like usual, no problems yet. "Now?"

"Just do like I told you earlier, everything should be fine." Though Scotland's words were calm and confident enough, you could tell he was just as nervous as you.

You gently began stroking Nessie down her spine, as you did, the large black scales that ran down it would flatten to make way for your hand. Even more slowly, you climbed onto the edge of the boat, still no problems. You took a very deep breath and jumped onto the back of the Loch Ness monster. "I did it." Nessie Straightened out her neck and turned her head to look at you. Complete panic set in. After what seemed like forever, she relaxed. "I guess she's not going to eat me then. How do I make her move?"

Scotland was grinning ear to ear. "Just tell her. She usually listens pretty well."

"Okay then. Nessie, could we please go for a little ride? If you don't mind that is." You were still pretty afraid of her, and didn't want to tick her off. You were already moving, she wasn't upset at all, in fact, she seemed happy. Riding on her back was like gliding on the smoothest ice, you couldn't even feel yourself moving, you had to look at the scenery just to make sure. Without warning Nessie dove under the water, taking you with her. She swam much faster now, making it impossible for you to really see anything in too much detail. You had to cling tightly to her neck as to not fall off. Nessie slowed down for only a second to show you a large patch of seaweed swarming with colorful fish. When you resurfaced you were back at the boat and you were obviously drenched. Nessie lowered herself to make it easier for you to get back in the boat.

Scotland helped you down, giving you a quick kiss on your soaked cheek. "Enjoy your ride?"

"Of course, it was amazing. But why did she take me under water like that?" You continued stroking Nessie's back. You swore you heard a cat like purr coming from her as you did.

"Easy love, she was showing you her home." Scotland smiled brightly. "Now you know exactly where Nessie lives so you can find her even without me. I have to admit, I'm a little jealous, it took years before she'd show me underwater."

You gave him a teasing grin. "I guess we know who the real master of mythical creatures here is then don't we?"

Nessis snorted in agreement.

"See, even Nessie agrees." You laughed.

"Nessie, all that cheese, all those long back rubs. What about the time you had a fish bone stuck in your teeth? It all means nothing?" Scotland was pleading, but Nessie wasn't buying it. Scotland sighed. "Two timed by the Loch Ness monster, I won't forget this."
