“If I had known before that we wouldn't get caught for doing this, I'd have planned out this game a long time ago. It makes my heart sad to think we could have had so much fun with all of you girls before now.” Hanabusa sighed. “I guess we'll just really have to make tonight count, won't we ladies?” After blowing a kiss in the direction of all the swooning, giggling girls, he chose one of them to be the next player. That next player, was you. “Are you excited? You don't seem to be giggling nearly as much as everyone else.”

“I'm excited, but giggling isn't really my thing. I'll find another way to show my excitement I'm sure.” After offering him a kind smile, you walked towards the cardboard box and pulled out a small white button. The size and colour of it was more than enough to let you know it belonged to a dress shirt. “Hmm, I wonder who in here is missing a button from their shirt.” You turned away from the box and looked straight at Akatsuki.

“You got me.” Wearing even less of an expression than you were, Akatsuki stood up with his arms crossed and made his way straight to the spare room.

Secretly quite happy to have him as your partner, you stuffed the button into your pocket in hopes that you would be able to keep it without him noticing. Once sure it was safe, you followed him into the room. When you entered the rather empty, lonely looking room, Akatsuki was already sitting on the couch with his arm draped over the back. “You look comfortable.” You shut the door behind you, then snuggled yourself next to him.

“Yeah. This couch is pretty ugly, but it's comfortable.” Your sudden closeness didn't seem to bother him in the least. It was like you weren't even there. “What is this pattern anyway?”

“I think it's called paisley, but that's not important right now. I'm sure you'll have plenty of time to stare at it later.” Hoping to pull his eyes away from the furniture and onto you, you pulled his arm off of the back of the couch and onto your shoulders. The bored, interested look he gave you made you seriously question yourself, but only for a minute. “There's not a problem is there?”

Akatsuki lazily shrugged. If anything at all was going to happen during this short time with him, you were going to have to be the one that made it happen. “I guess not.”

“You really are the exact opposite of your nickname. There's nothing even remotely wild about you.” Inching even closer, you placed the palm of your hand on his exposed chest. “Except, of course, that you wear your shirt open. But when you stop to think about it, that's really not all that wild at all.” You smirked. “Is there another reason the girls insist on calling you by that name then?”

“No.” His tone was a bit more forceful this time, but only slightly. And it wasn't nearly enough to make you question what you did next.

Tired of his short answers and lack of emotion, you climbed onto his lap, placed your hands on the couch behind him grinned crookedly. “Are you sure? Those girls stalk you, so I'm nearly positive that they wouldn't just give you a random, unfitting name.” You leaned in even closer. “It would be really rude of you to lie to me. You might hurt my feelings if you did.”

“I'm not lying.” Akatsuki shook his head again, and let out a slightly agitated sigh. It was bad enough that he hadn't even tried to make a move on you, but the fact that he hadn't even looked at you once was really starting to annoy you. “Are you just going to sit there until our time's up?”

“No, no I'm not. You might be boring, but I'm not.” Not knowing the dangers that came with your actions, you roughly grabbed Akatsuki's face in your hands and kissed him. For the first second or two, Akatsuki seemed completely uninterested, which left you regretting your decisions. After those first few seconds, however, he relaxed and decided to kiss you back. Though there was nothing particularly special about the kiss, there was something about it that mesmerized you. For some reason, you found yourself not wanting to move away from him, it was like you were paralyzed and powerless. Oddly enough, you didn't mind.

“Boy, oh boy is Ruka going to be upset with you Akatsuki.” Hanabusa entered the room and gave his head a disapproving shake. “You better be glad she's upstairs asleep and not down here where she can see you. You'd be in a world of hurt.” He chuckled.

“It's fine, nothing happened.” Standing to his feet, Akatsuki lowered you down to the couch and walked out as if indeed, nothing had happened.

His words left you shocked and gaping. “Nothing happened? That wasn't nothing you, you jerk.” Too angry with him to form an intelligible sentence, you mumbled profanities and foul names under your breath. “I should just go up those stairs and tell Ruka myself. You know what, that's exactly what I'm going to do.”

Akatsuki spun back around to face you and roughly covered your mouth with his hand. There was an incredibly serious look on his face, the first emotion you'd seen from him all night. “Trust me, you really don't want to do that to yourself.” He paused. “Nothing happened.”
