"Okay I'm ready, I have enough popcorn here to feed an army. Are you all set? You didn't pick something all girly did you?" Wales plopped down beside you on the couch with the biggest bowl of popcorn you'd ever seen. "I can't stand those sappy, cheesy kind of movies you know."
You shook our head and grabbed a handful of popcorn. "I'm not telling you what I picked. You'll just have to watch it and find out." You grabbed the remote and turned on the first episode of your favorite TV show. The two of you had decided to stay up all night and watch TV shows until the sun came up. If either of you fell asleep, the other got to brutally prank the sleeping person. You were ready though, you had a full supply of energy drinks and candy. No way you would fall asleep.
"well I guess it is your night to pick, I shouldn't complain." He snuggled you closer as the show began. Only a few minutes in to it, he had become completely entranced. "This is amazing How have I never see, or even heard of this before?" Wales was now shaking you roughly by the shoulders.
His rough jerking was beginning to make you dizzy. "I don't really know. But I do know that giving me a concussion won't give you the answer."
He stopped, obviously embarrassed he'd reacted so hyperactivity. "You're right." He nodded. "We should probably just keep watching." He snuggled you onto his lap, wrapped his arms around you and kissed your neck. "I'll try not to cause anymore bodily harm tonight."
You laughed. "Thank you, I'd very much appreciate that." The two of you snuggled together through episode after episode of your show. After hours of watching the television, a loud beeping noise came from the watch Wales was wearing. "What's the alarm for?"
"That's what time the sun's supposed to come up this morning." Now let's hurry outside, I don't want us to miss it." Wales helped you off of him and walked with you to your front yard. The grass was still cold and covered with dew. Everything was peaceful and still. There wasn't the slightest sign of the sun. It actually seemed darker now than when you two had first started watching TV.
It's pretty chilly out here." You wrapped your arms around yourself, trying to keep warm."
Wales hugged you from behind, acting as a sort of blanket. "Not for long, just give it a second." All at once your yard lit up like it was on fire. You watched as the shadows fled from the sun, and the light filled every empty space. Each blade of grass looked like a little burning flame, and the dew only magnified the effect. As the sun rose in the sky you could feel it's warmth spread through your body."You see, I told you." Wales squeezed you tight.
Turning around in his arms, you returned his hug. "You were, but I noticed something that didn't happen."
"Really, what's that?" He gave you a confused look.
"Neither of us fell asleep tonight, so neither of us got pranked. Which means, we have to do this again."
He nodded in agreement. "I agree, and I say every time we do this without one of us falling asleep the stakes get higher. So, this time we should add on, say, a dare of the winners choice?"
You roughly grabbed his hand and shook it. "Your on."
