“All this walking around, choosing players really is a lot of work. I'm already getting sleepy again.” To put emphasis on her exhaustion, Amber wiped her brow with the back of her hand and dropped into one of the bar stools. With her smile still present, she slid down in her seat and got comfortable. “So, for this turn, and this turn only, I'm going to let the next player choose herself. Whoever gets here is the next player. Better hurry up girls.”

The very second you understood exactly what Amber was saying, you scrambled out of your seat and rushed to the bar. “I choose me to go next if that's alright.” With her go ahead, you excitedly reached into the bucket. “There sure is a lot of stuff in here. I think there might actually be more items than there are guys. That's pretty suspicious if you ask me.” After giving your hand a final swirl, you latched on to something thin, yet rigid. Upon lifting it from the bucket, you saw that it was a simple, purple bookmark. “Let's see. Who likes to read in here?”

“Here, I'll make this easy for you.” Saving you the trouble of having to look, Ondorus stood from his seat at one of the Inn's round, wooden tables, pushed in his chair and walked up to you. “The bookmark is mine. Obviously.”

“Oh yeah. You've always got your nose in a book. I should have known this was yours.” You lightly hit the palm of your hand to your forehead and sighed. “I don't know what I was thinking. Anyway, let's get going.” Far more eager than he was, you wrapped your fingers around his wrist and excitedly pulled him into the closet. You had the door tightly shut and had taken your seat on the floor before Ondorus even realized what had happened. “Well, come on. Take a seat.” Smiling warmly, you gave the ground next to you a gentle pat. “You're not just going to stand there, are you?”

Surprised at how quickly you'd moved, Ondorus calmly adjusted his glasses and shook his head. “Of course not.” Maintaining his dignified demeanor, he gracefully lowered himself to a seated position. Though he was now seated less than six inches away from you, he said nothing at all. You tried to give him a chance to start up a conversation, or do something himself, but after thirty seconds of silence, you'd couldn't wait any longer.

“I get the distinct feeling that you're not going to make an attempt to do anything while we're in here.” Preparing yourself for what was to come next, you uncrossed your legs and sat back on your heels. “That's fine thought. I don't mind you leaving everything up to me. I assure you, I can handle this.”

Though he was familiar with the game, and should know what to expect, Ondorus still found himself lightly confused. “Handle what, exactly?”

“I think it's probably going to be a lot easier if I just show you. Explaining would take way too long and then I might not even have time to do what I said I was going to do.” Not at all pleased with the idea of ruining your own turn with idle chatter, you firmly shook your head. “So, here I go.” Giving him no time to object, or question you further, you rose from your heels, placed your hands on his cheeks and kissed him directly on the lips. Your kiss was clumsy and a little messy, but there was an undeniably adorable quality to it that made even Ondorus blush.

When your somewhat unexpected kiss came to an end, and you'd finally released his face, Ondorus did his best to appear unaffected by your actions. “That was your big plan?”

“More or less.” You nodded. “I'll be honest here and say that I didn't expect to have any time left. But since we do, how about another kiss?” Snuggling yourself into his lap, you took his face in your hands once more and prepared to kiss him for a second time. Before you got the chance to do so, however, Amber opened the closet door.

“Oops. It looks like I'm a little bit too early.” Though she should have ended your turn despite this, Amber took a single step back and slowly started to close the door. “You two are so close, I'll give you a few extra seconds. But don't tell anyone.” Unaware of what had already happened, she shut the door once more and allowed your game to continue.

“Perfect.” Still holding his face in your hands, you gently pulled him down so that his eyes were level with yours. Sure that you had his undecided attention, you locked your eyes on his and grinned playfully. “Now, about that second kiss I mentioned earlier. I think you should start this one.”

Smiling, just barely enough to be noticeable, Ondorus once again shook his head. “Trust me, there is absolutely no chance of that ever happening.”
