Once again sitting on the counter top, tail swishing in a slow, methodical way, Morgana looked around Cafe LeBlanc for the next player. “Hmm, picking out new players is a lot tougher than I thought it would be. Maybe I should come up with some sort of system to make things easier. Wait, I've got an idea.” Gracefully hopping onto one of the bar stools, Morgana began quickly spinning around in circles. After a few seconds, he jumped down and dizzily stumbled over to you. “You're next.”

“Are you okay?” Quickly kneeling next to him, you gently began stroking Morgan's head and back. “You're going to hurt yourself doing that.”

“I'm okay. Don't worry about me.” Obviously still dizzy, Morgana dropped to the ground and covered his face with his paws. “Just get your item and go upstairs.”

“Okay, if your sure.” You didn't like the idea of leaving Morgana there, but you didn't want to hold the game up either. Slowly rising to your feet, you neared the counter and placed your hand into the curry pot. With so many items inside, it was hard to grab just one thing. You managed however, choosing a small tube of bright red paint as your item. “I think I can guess who this belongs to.”

“That wont be necessary.” Sitting very near the curry pot, Yusuke was able to see you pick his item the moment you had done so. “Let us begin then, shall we?” With your hand already in his Yusuke started towards the attic. “I would wait for Morgana, but I don't think he's is in any condition to escort us upstairs.”

Nodding in agreement, you glanced back at Morgan, who was still resting on the floor. “I think you're right.”

“I'll be fine, go!” Waving his paw, Morgana tried to reassure you. “You're slowing everything down by worrying about me.”

“Right, I'm going.” Doing as told, you walked up the last few steps and entered the attic. With no where else to sit, you took a seat on Akira's bed and somewhat timidly placed your hands on your lap. Playing a game like this in someone elses room was a little odd, but you were sure you'd get used to it before too long. When your partner didn't take a seat next to you, you realized that Yusuke was staring at you rather intensely. Instantly blushing, you averted your gaze. “What are you looking at?”

“You, obviously.” Hand on his chin and eyes narrowed slightly, Yusuke continued to assess you.

“W-well cut it out, please.” Still refusing to look at him for the fear of making eye contact, you began ringing at your fingers. “It's embarrassing.”

“Is it?” Stopping the moment you expressed discomfort, Yusuke bowed his head. “My apologies.” Knowing he would have a hard time not staring again if he continued to stand, he took a seat next to you. “I was trying to burn the image of you sitting there into my mind so that I might paint it later. I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable.”

“No, it's okay, you don't have to apologize.” You paused, inching yourself closer to him as you collected your thoughts. “But why would you want to paint me?”

“Because what I saw spoke to me.” Placing his hand over his heart, Yusuke started to smile in an almost whimsical way. “There was an emotion that I felt when I looked at you that can only be expressed with art.”

You had no idea what he was talking about, but you weren't going to argue. “Oh, I see.” Suddenly all too aware of how little time must be left, you tried to make yourself say something, but the words wouldn't come out. Luckily, you didn't need to say anything at all.

“Forgive me, again. I've thrown away our time together on something completely selfish.” Lacing his fingers with yours once more, Yusuke stared into your eyes. “I will devote whatever time we have left to this game and this game alone.” Lifting your hand to his lips, he placed a gentle kiss on your knuckles. “If it's not enough, I'll make it up to you. I promise.”

Blushing again, you quickly shook his head. “Oh no, that's okay. You don't have to do all that. It's really not a bi-”

Before you could finish, Yusuke pressed a single finger to your lips. “I insist.” Lowering his hand down to your shoulder, Yusuke leaned forward and slowly brought his lips to meet yours. The kiss was so sweet and so unbelievably gentle it felt like you were in a dream. The tender way he brushed his thumb against your cheek as he deepened the kiss caused your heart to ache. The kiss, while seemingly perfect in every way, was bitter sweet, as you knew it would have to end soon.

“Whoa, way to go Fox.” Morgana had somehow managed to jump on to the bed without either of you hearing, or feeling him do so. “I didn't think you'd be able to play this game at all.” He giggled. “I'm actually kind of proud of you.”

“Oh?” Still holding you close, Yusuke reluctantly turned his eyes towards Morgana. “Does that mean we get a bit more time together?”

With a shake of his head, Morgana killed any hope that Yusuke had. “Nice try, but no.”
