It was raining, just a drizzle really, but more than enough to make you anxious. You had come to hate rain, or rather what rain brought. Ever since you'd attended that stupid party of Jiraiya's an unwelcome guest showed up at your house during each rainfall. You were prepared this time though. You locked the doors and windows, placing towels anywhere rain could possibly get in. “There, that should do it.”

“That should do what?” An unfortunately familiar voice spoke up from behind you. “You have a draft or something? I could take a look at it if you wanted me to.”

“No Suigetsu, no.” You turned around to face him slowly, afraid he may be standing in your living room without clothes on, again. “I don't want you to take a look at anything. And I don't have a draft, I'm trying to keep you from breaking in my house.” Stomping your foot on the floor, you angrily pointed towards the door. “Now get out already.”

“Wow, what's wrong with you?” Unaffected by your anger, Suigetsu flopped down on your couch and beckoned you to join him. “It's not like you to be so forceful. You're usually so quiet and laid back.” He smirked, exposing his pointy teeth. “Is there something you need to get off your chest? It might make you feel better.”

While it was very true that you usually just dealt with his uninvited visits, today you'd finally reached your boiling point and just wanted him gone. “I already told you what was wrong. Now get out. I don't want you showing up here anymore.”

Suigetsu didn't even budge, instead he leaned further into your couch, placed his hands behind his head and crossed hes legs. “That's pretty harsh. Do you have any idea how far I have to walk to get to your house? It's a long way.” Looking at your barricaded door, he began to chuckle. “Besides, I don't think I could get out of here even if I wanted to. You've got every exit blocked.” The slight smirk grew to a perverted smile as he continued speaking. “Are you sure you want me gone? If I didn't know better, I would think you were trying to keep me hostage.”

“Yes I'm sure. If you managed to get here with everything blocked off, you can get out. Now stop making excuses and go.” It was getting harder for you to stay firm. The boost of adrenaline that had given you the strength to speak your mind was quickly fading.

“Fine, I'm sorry I bothered you then. I'll go.” Suigetsu looked completely pathetic and heartbroken as he pushed himself from your couch. “I didn't realize you really couldn’t stand me.” He shuffled his feet, looking down at the ground as he spoke. “Honestly, I just thought you were playing hard to get. But I guess I was off huh?” He sighed and started for your front door. “Again, I'm sorry I bothered you. I'll stay gone this time.” Melting into the saddest puddle you had ever seen, Suigetsu began to disappear under your door.

You felt awful. Even if he had been a nosy, intrusive jerk, you couldn't let him leave like that. “S-Suigetsu, I didn’t mean. Just come back for a minute, please.” There was no response, he was gone. “Suigetsu, come on, I know you're still there.” You dropped to your knees and yelled through the crack at the bottom of your door. “Fine, don't answer you jerk.”

“You know, you look a little crazy yelling at the door like that.” Suigetsu laughed. He was somehow behind you again.

“W-what, how did you? Never mind.” You shook your head, and stood back to your feet. “Look, I don't want you gone forever, but you can't just show up whenever you want. And you definitely can't keep coming through my shower head. It's just creepy. I wouldn't mind you coming here sometimes, like when I invite you or something.”

“How are you going to invite me?” Suigetsu raised a questioning brow. “I'm never in the same place for any length of time. Not to mention, Sasuke would get pretty annoyed if he knew I was sneaking around and jeopardizing our location, just to see a girl”

What he was saying was very true. The thought had never even crossed your mind.“Oh, I hadn't thought of that. I suppose that does pose a problem, doesn't it?”

Suigetsu nodded. “Sure does. That's why I come to visit you when it rains. I can move faster, and I figured by now you would know to expect me when you see rain.” He looked back at the precautions you'd taken to keep him out and smiled. “Which you obviously have.”

You blushed. “Y-yeah, sorry about that. It just seemed like you were showing up just to annoy me. I figured if you saw I was trying to keep you out, you'd take a hint.” As you began to make sense of all Suigetsu's actions, the awkward atmosphere intensified. “I didn't realize that you just wanted to see me.”

“Well now you do. Now really, get off of the floor.” He held his hand out for you, pulling you back up to your feet and into his arms. He snuggled you tightly and rubbed his nose against your blushing neck. After a few moments of being held this way, he still showed no signs of stopping.

“Um, Suigetsu, I think you can stop hugging me now.” Your attempt to break the hug only resulted in him holding you tighter. “Or not I guess, that's fine too.”

A few more moments passed before Suigetsu released you and burst into laughter. “You were just gonna stand there forever weren't you?” He placed his hands on your shoulder, beaming at you. “You go from so forceful, to completely complacent in no time.” Bringing you in close to him once again, he rubbed his nose against yours.

He seemed to be taking pleasure in making you blush today. “I can't help it, I feel bad for before, and it was just a hug.”

Suigetsu suddenly frowned, and stared out the window. “Crap.”

“W-what?” The answer became clear when you too looked out the window. The rain was already clearing and without rain, it would take Suigetsu much longer to get back to his team. “Oh, y-yeah, that kind of stinks.”

“Does it now? You don't want me gone anymore?” He laughed. “You're a pretty confusing girl, I just want you to know that before I go.” Suigetsu walked to your door and removed all the objects keeping him from leaving. “So, I guess you can expect me again next time it rains. As long as that's okay with you?” His bright smile was enough to fluster you and tie your tongue in knots.

You nodded, unable to keep yourself from smiling. “Y-yeah, I'll look for you.”

“Good. And next time I show up, don't make it so hard for me to get in here alright? I'll think you've gone and changed your mind, again.” Suigetsu reluctantly walked outside to leave. “Well, I'll be seeing you then.” He waved as he walked away, quickly disappearing into the surrounding forest.

You strained your eyes in hopes of catching another glace, but he was gone. You took in a deep breath and sighed, knowing he was really gone this time. Though you hated to admit your feelings could change so dramatically in only a few short hours, you couldn't stop yourself from hoping it would rain again, and very soon.
