You walk up to the center of the room and place your hand in side the large bucket. After a moment of feeling around for an item you wrapped your hand around what felt like plain paper. You lifted it out of the bucket to see you were right, just crumpled paper. “Well hopefully there's a name on this.” After straightening out the paper you could see “Pain” written in a very fancy style of writing. “Pain, this is yours.”

“Yes, I'm aware.” Pain made no attempt to move. “I should remember what item I placed in the bucket.”

“Well then, you should also remember the rules.” Jiraiya pulled Pain from the couch and pushed him into you. “Now take the lady into the closet. And be nice. I don't want to have to come in there and hurt you.” He shoved you both in the closet and shut the door.

Pain dusted himself off and sat down on the closet floor.  “I'd like to see him try. He knows he couldn't come close to hurting me. But I digress, come sit next to me.” Pain patted the floor next to him, gesturing you join him on the floor.

“Oh, okay.” You nervously sat next to him, placing your hands on your lap.

“You seem nervous. You have no need to be. I have no quarrel with you, relax.” Pain looked at you with a flat expression.

You blushed. “I wasn't really afraid of you fighting me. I'm more nervous, because you're actually pretty good looking.” You stared straight at the ground, adverting his gaze. “I was kind of excited I picked your name.”

Pain was silent for a moment, you had made things pretty awkward for both of you. “I see. That does change the situation a bit, doesn't it?” He gently took your chin in his hand, making you look at him, rather than the floor. His face still held little expression making it difficult for you to know his mood. “Jiraiya did tell me to be nice to you. I suppose I should honor my old sensei.” He moved in closer to you. “May I?”

“I-I suppose.” You were shocked by how decent he was. He didn't seem anything like the person you'd heard terrible stories about.

“Thank you.” Still holding your face in his hands, he brushed over your bottom lip with his thumb. Slowly he moved closer to you, you could feel his breath all over you. Finally, he pressed his lips against yours, wrapping you up in his arms and holding you close. When Pain finally ended the kiss, you were breathless.  You swore you saw the slightest hint of a smile on his face, but in the darkness it was too hard to tell.

Pain was still holding you in his arms when Jiraiya opened the door. “When I said to be nice to her I didn't mean like that. She looks completely star struck. What did you do to her?”

“I only played the game, and I followed the rules you gave us. I cant help it if your ninja are easily swayed.” Pain helped you up, leading you out of the closet. He continued leading you from the room, but Jiraiya stopped him.

“Where do you think you're going? That's my kunoichi.” Jiraiya huffed.

“I'm taking her back with me. She can't be a member of the Akatsuki, but I think she might be nice to have around.” Before you could argue, Pain picked you up, threw you over his shoulder and carried you off.

Jiraiya let out a loud sigh. “That's it, no more evil people going into the closet with our kunoichi. I'm losing ninja left and right.”
