“Well here we are again, getting ready to start another turn of this game of mine.” Though he was obviously tired and ready for the game to end, Jiraiya still managed to smile. “I wonder how Tsunade is doing with her version of the game. She's probably already through playing.” Walking as he spoke, Jiraiya took you hand in his and pulled you to your feet. “They may be done over there, but we still have a ton of players, so why don't you come up here, hmm?”

“You got it.” Once you were on your feet, you completely ignored the bucket of items and walked directly up to Asura. You knew full well that this was against the rules, but you doubted Jiraiya, or anyone else would try to stop you. At least, that's what you were counting on. Now directly in front of your chosen partner, you offered him your hand. “So, do you feel like being my partner today?”

“I would, but...” Not wanting to break the rules, Asura looked to Jiraiya for permission before answering, but it was already too late. You had taken his hand and started tugging him towards the closet.

“Come on then. If Jiraiya was going to stop me, I'm pretty sure he'd have done it by now.” Already in the closet with your partner, you shut the door and dropped down to the ground. Almost before Asura had taken a seat,  you pulled his body close to yours hugging him tightly in your arms. Your partner didn't seem to mind this, but it was more than a little but obvious that you had taken him by surprise. “What's the matter, cat got your tongue?”

With a gentle shake of his head, Asura did his best to recover from his shock. “Maybe, but only for a second.”

“Good.” Still holding him close, you ran your fingers through his hair. As you did this, you felt his skin go hot. It was far too dark to tell if he was blushing or not, but you had your suspicions. “Am I embarrassing you? I can stop if you want me to.” Loosening your hold on him, you squinted your eyes and searched his face for any sign of redness. “I haven't even kissed you yet, things are only going to get more embarrassing from here on out.”

Your last sentence had only served to make his embarrassment worse, but he was determined not to let that show. Smiling warmly, Asura brushed off your concerns. “No, I'm fine.”

“If you say so.” Taking his face in your hands, you gave your partner a serious look. “This is your last chance. If you don't say something now, I'm going to kiss you.” Even if he wanted to say something, Asura wasn't sure that he could. You had a strange talent for doing things that caused his words to stick in his throat. “Alright, I gave you a chance, no changing your mind now.” Quickly pulling him close, you pressed your lips to kiss in a short, messy kiss. Though the kiss had barely lasted a second, it had made Asura's cheeks burn. “I knew you were going to be super cute when I picked you.”

Asura was almost positive that he didn't agree with that statement, but he didn't argue. Even if he had tried to, he doubted it was an argument he would have won. With that in mind, he accepted what you'd said as a sort of compliment. “Thank you?”

“You're welcome.” By now, you honestly thought that Jiraiya would have returned. The fact that he hadn't made you a little bit nervous. What if he had fallen asleep or forgotten about the two of you? The door was locked from the outside, so you couldn't simply leave. “Hmm, it looks like we still have some time left. I didn't expect that to happen.” Grinning, though Asura probably couldn't see it, you playfully nudged at him. “Oh well. I guess that means I can kiss you again.”

“Knock knock you two. I'm coming in.” Jiraiya's voice echoed through the small closet as he slowly opened the door. After turning on the light, he greeted the two of you with a strange smile that managed to immediately make you feel uncomfortable. “It was pretty quiet in here, not that I was listening or anything.” Letting out a loud, perverted laugh, Jiraiya moved aside to let you and Asura out of the closet. “So, did everything go alright?”

Though you hadn't even considered the fact that Jiraiya had been listening in before, it was now the only thing you could think about. Frowning deeply at the idea, you let out a sigh. “I think we might need a different host.”

Agreeing with you completely, Asura nodded firmly. “I think you're right.”
