“No need to call me up, I'm already ready to go.” Before the Warden could utter a single word, Yamato rushed to the center of the room and handed her his slip of paper. “I already know who my partner is too, so you don't have to worry about that either.” After a quick salute, he excitedly walked up to where you were sitting. “I saw your paper earlier in the game. You're also number four, correct?”

Holding your paper up so that he could see your number, you nodded. “Yup, that's me.”

“Then let's go!” Already laughing, Yamato lifted you out of your seat and into his arms. Without skipping a beat, or putting you down, he ran into the closet and shut the door. All of this had been done without the Warden saying a word. “Here we are. Let the seven minutes begin.”

Still in his arms, you offered a feeble smile. “You're really excited about this, aren't you?”

“I am very excited.” Yamato laughed again. “Is it that obvious?”

“It's pretty obvious, yes.” You nodded. “You've been running everywhere and now that we're here, you haven't even attempted to put me down yet.” Suddenly feeling a bit embarrassed by how closely he was holding you, you started to blush. “I don't mind being carried, but we can't really play the game in this position.”

“You're right!” Agreeing with you wholeheartedly, Yamato dropped to the ground and placed you in his lap. Still, he had made no move to let you out of his arms. At this point, you doubted he would. “Let the training begin.”

“Training, what training?” Completely lost, you tilted your head to the side and tried to make sense of what he just said. He couldn't actually believe that this game was supposed to be a form of training, could he? “I'm not sure I follow you.”

“If the Warden is demanding we all participate in something, it must be some sort of training.” He smiled wide, satisfied with his logic. “She wouldn't have us do something so frivolous for no reason.”

You weren't sure you agreed with him, but you weren't going to argue. Honestly, you had felt since the very beginning that the Warden had her own, unspoken agenda. You weren't sure what that agenda was, but you were willing to bet that it had something to do with one of the guards. With time running out, however, you weren't about to dwell on that. “Whatever you say. It's not important now anyway.”

“Exactly.” Pulling you even closer, almost to the point of suffocating you, Yamato gleefully tried to change the subject. “Now back to the task at hand. More than half of our time is already gone.”

“Oh, you're right.” Though you would have been happy no matter what happened, you didn't want to be the one to keep Yamato from having a good time. Even so, you had never expected he would be so enthusiastic about a game like this. “We should hurry.”

Taking your last sentence as all the permission he needed, Yamato placed his hand on the nape of your neck and pulled you into a kiss. Though his kiss more than surprised you, you weren't complaining. If he was going to go all out, you weren't about to stop him. At this point, you doubt you could, even if you wanted to. His fingers brushed against the short hairs on your nape, tickling your neck and sending shivers down your spine. While you could handle the shivers, and the breathlessness his kisses caused, it quickly became too much when he began to kiss your neck and throat. Clutching to his shirt, you desperately tried to hold back a gasp, but failed. Your sudden gasp caused Yamato to almost jerk back, afraid he had gone too far. “Did I do something wrong?”

Dizzy and confused, you couldn't stop yourself from giggling at his question. “N-no, you didn't do anything wrong at all.” Heart still fluttering, you placed your hand on your chest and tried to calm it. It was no use though, the butterflies wouldn't go away.

“Are you sure?” Afraid you would only make a fool of yourself if you tried to speak, you simply nodded and hoped he wouldn't ask you any more questions.

Luckily, Yamato never got the chance to. The door was opened by the Warden, who immediately turned on the light and looked down at the two of you with a disapproving look. “What did you do to her?” Giving Yamato no time to answer, she took a step away from the closet door and crossed her arms. “Never mind. Just take her back to her cell.”

“Yes ma'am.” Since he had never let you out of his arms, Yamato simply stood up and started out of the room. Almost immediately you realized that you were going the wrong way. You knew Yamato had a poor sense of direction, but surely it couldn't be that bad. For a moment, you entertained the idea of asking him if he was lost or needed help getting back to your cell, but you decided against it. For now, you had no idea where you were going, and you were okay with that.
