“Aren’t we almost out of people yet?” Flying as high as she could without hitting the ceiling, Midna tried to estimate just how many people were left in the group. “Where did you all come from? We only had half this many people when we first started the game.” With a quiet sigh, she hovered over to you and gently tagged your shoulder. “You already know what to do, so go do it. I think I'll just sit in your spot until your time's up.”

“That works fine for me.” You stood up, giving Midna your spot and quickly began searching for your item. There was one item that was quite a bit bigger than the others. Just to get it out of the way for the next player, you made that item yours. “I've seen this hat before. But I don't remember on whom.”

“Take that hat off of your head this very moment. That hat belongs on no one's brow other than my own.” Linebeck was standing in an instant. He walked over to you with his head held high and his nose in the air. Once close enough, he snatched the hat off of your head and placed it on his where it belonged. “I swear, youth today have no respect for the property of others.”

You smoothed your hair back down and into place as you forced a smile on your face. “If that hat of yours is so important, why did you stuff it in a bag where it could have been completely ruined?” Before he'd even had a chance to answer, you turned on your heel and started for the closet. “It really doesn't make any sense at all to me.”

“Don't question me, you little urchin. I wouldn't expect someone like you to understand my reasoning.” Already aggravated by your attitude, Linebeck followed you into the dark room and somewhat loudly shut the door behind him.

This wasn't the first time you’d been stuck hanging around Linebeck against your will, so you knew this turn was going to be interesting. Playing the game normally was not an option for you at all. Knowing this from the start, you decided to do the next best thing, torment him. He absolutely hated being questioned or doubted, and he also had a massive ego. With those things in mind, you knew exactly what you needed to do to rile him up. “So, tell me exactly why it is that I wouldn't understand your reasoning?”

“I've already told you not to question me.” He snorted at your question as if he was offended by it, but almost immediately changed his tune to sound almost flirty. “Isn't there something else you'd like to talk about?”

“No, not really.” You shook your head, completely and purposely ignoring his subtle hints. “I am wondering though, is the whole reason that I wouldn't understand your reasoning, because you don't actually have a reason in the first place?”

Linebeck's smile, which had just appeared, vanished. “Why do you do this to me. Every time we meet, you take pleasure in upsetting me.” With his eyes loosely shut, he shook his head and let out a sigh. A slow crooked smirk spread over his face. “Could it be that my handsome face, is even more attractive when I'm annoyed or angry?” He chuckled. “I know I'm pretty spectacular, but I never thought that I could be any more good looking than I already am.”

Your plan had failed before it had begun. Now you had no idea what to do or what to say. “That's not it at all, and you've got to know that. You're just flattering yourself because you know I'm right about you not having a reason.”

This time your taunt didn't seem to bother him even the slightest little bit. “A person can only find offense in the same thing so many times. Don't you have any other tricks up your sleeves? It would be a shame if you were all out of insults already.” He chuckled again, now feeling fully in charge. “How am I going to get angry if I don't have you there to insult me?”

“Shut it.” Feeling rather stupid, you hung your head low and blushed. “This is all because of your stupid hat. I know you have more of those things, I've seen them in your store. Those and a bunch of other over priced junk.”

“Over priced junk?” Linebeck jumped onto his feet and stared down at you with clenched fists and a stern jaw. “How dare you talk about my treasures that way? This just proves what an undereducated little urchin you really are.”

“Undereducated?” You joined him on your feet, far more upset at him than he was at you. “Some gentleman you are. I at least wasn't insulting you directly.”

Linebeck scoffed, somehow still managing to stay incredibly calm, despite his obvious anger. “Oh no, not at all. You just found it necessary to insult my valuables and my store. I'll have you know that my treasures are a part of who I am. And I, Linebeck III, will not stand for this.”

The two of you were so loud that the entire conversation could clearly be heard outside of the closet. Because of this, no one was willing to let you know that your time was up. “Well, I'm sure you can all hear what's going on in there. I for one am not willing to risk my neck opening that door. So, let's just move to another location.” With everyone in agreement, Midna and the rest of the crowd moved out of the room, and left you and Linebeck to battle it out in the closet.
