Fire Emblem Seven Minutes in Heaven Roy

      Edward scratched the back of his head and gave the crowd in front of him a confused look. “Whoever I said was going next a couple of minutes ago, go ahead and come up here, because I forgot who you are.”

“That would be me.” Quickly hopping to your feet, you rushed over to Edward and started digging in the barrel. Only a few seconds later you pulled a tattered headband from inside. “I know a few people that wear these. But I can only think of one person who wears one in this colour, and this ragged.” You walked up to Roy, who was short one headband. “This wouldn't be yours would it?”

“Yup, it sure is.” Roy smiled wide and took the headband from your hand and placed it on his head where it belonged. “I figured that would be pretty easy for just about anyone to figure out. I didn't want to go and confuse anyone.” He happily took your hand in his, and without Edwards prompting began walking towards the tent.

Figuring you two knew where you were going, Edward didn't see a need to follow along. “You two go ahead, I'll come get you when your time's up.”

Roy waved in response and led you into the tent. “This is a pretty weird game for a bunch of mercenaries to be playing, don't you think? I'm sure everyone needs to relax and reset, but this is just an odd way of doing it.” He chuckled quietly.

“I guess you're right. All the other girls seem really  excited about it though. And it is better than training, so you won't find me complaining about it. Besides, you never know, something good might come of this.” You dropped a subtle hint, hoping Roy would pick up on it. Honestly, you couldn't have picked a better partner if you tried. You'd had a crush on Roy for a long time now and being in a situation like this with him was almost like a dream come true for you.

“Something good?” His face wrinkled up into a confused sort of smile. “Something good, like what exactly?”

He was oblivious, as always. If he was going to understand, you were going to have to spell it out for him, using very small words. “Something good, like us possibly going out sometime.” Still, Roy looked a little confused. “I like you Roy.”

“I like you too, but I don't see why we needed to come in a dirty, cramped tent for us to tell each other that.” Looking more lost and confused than ever, Roy forced himself to laugh. “I mean, we've been friends for a while now, so I figured we liked each other.”

This conversation was going no where. As smart as Roy was, when it came to girls, he was completely clueless. “No, not like that.” Hoping that actions would help him understand more than your words were, you leaned forward, placing one hand on the nape of his neck and the other on his shoulder. Not giving him a chance to question you or pull away, you quickly kissed him on the corner of his mouth. The deep red blush he was wearing when you pulled away gave you hope that maybe now he understood what you were saying.

“O-oh, you like me like that huh? I never would have guessed.” He looked everywhere he could but at you, hoping to avoid eye contact. “I guess I've been pretty blind then, haven't I?”

“A little. Sorry I had to resort to kissing you. I just really wanted to get my point across.” You blushed, now a little embarrassed by your earlier actions.

The thin fabric that served as the door to the tent opened. Edward looked inside to see you both blushing as you stared blankly at each other. “What is this, some sort of weird staring contest?” Neither of you answered, still too flustered to speak. “Well okay then. I'm just going to go get the next couple and trust you two will be gone by the time I get back.” He awkwardly dropped the fabric and walked away.

Trying his best to push his embarrassment aside, Roy smiled and took your hand.“You were right. Something good did come of this.” He gave your hand a quick kiss before standing to his feet. “Now let's get out of here before Edward gets back. I think we freaked him out.”
