Due to how late it was, the number of players was quickly dwindling. Edward too had turned in for the night and left you temporarily with a new host. “Alright, since certain people just couldn't keep their eyes open anymore, I'm going to be your host. We'll just have to see how this goes. So, is everyone ready to play?” Ranulf stepped in front of the barrel and slowly swished his tail back and forth. Since you were in the front of the line, he waved you up to take your turn. “I believe you're supposed to be next. Come on up.”

“Why thank you Ranulf, I believe I will.” Trying not to seem as tired as you felt, you pushed yourself off of the ground and lazily dug around for your item. Crumpled up and hidden under several much more interesting objects, was a completely blank sheet of paper. For some reason, as boring as the paper was, that item had to be yours. “I choose this.”

Though it was dark, the light of the fire was just enough for Robin to see that you had his item. “I was beginning to wonder if I'd ever get a chance at this.” Still looking wide awake, he pushed himself off of the ground and happily joined at the front of the group. “Obviously there's nothing special about that bit of parchment, so you don't have to hold on to it.”

“I see. Then I shall dispose of it at once.” You quickly tossed the ball of paper into the fire and took his hand in yours. “Now that that's out of the way, let's go.”

“Yes, let's.” Robin blushed slightly, but nodded. “I'm certainly not going to stop us after all.” Completely calm and relaxed, he gave your hand a little squeeze and walked with you towards the tent. Sitting outside by the fire would have given you both light and warmth, but since you both wanted to stick to the rules, you decided to go inside and use each other for warmth. “You're not too cold are you? I could find a blanket somewhere in here I'm sure.”

You snuggled yourself as close to him as you possibly could and tightly wrapped your arms around his waist. Your cheeks were already growing a bright pink shade due to both the cold and the embarrassment. “I am actually little chilly, but I think I'll warm up soon enough.”

“If you're sure.” A little unsure how to react, Robin wrapped his arm, and his cloak around you. “Does that make you any warmer?”

“O-oh yes, much warmer actually.” He was only trying to be courteous you knew, but you couldn't help, especially in your over tired state to think more of his actions. “You're warm enough, right? I wouldn't want to be stealing all of your heat.”

“I wasn't ever cold actually, so I'm just fine.” His smile alone was enough to warm you up. You didn't know what it was, but something about him infatuated you. Robin let out a quiet laugh, interrupting your thoughts. “Are you alright? You're looking a little dreamy.” He looked down at you gently and smiled again, only making your already very noticeable blush that much worse. “Surely you aren't falling asleep on me, are you?”

Furrowing your brows together, you sent him an apologetic look. “I'm trying not to, but it is really late and I am pretty tired.” You sighed weakly. “I guess I really should have waited until the morning to play, huh?”

“I wouldn't say that. I'm just going to have to wake you up.” Without explaining, Robin lifted your chin up just slightly and pressed his lips to yours. His actions were so unexpected, you didn't even realize that he'd kissed you until he'd stopped.

Before he'd pulled too far away, you grabbed his cheeks and tried to bring him back to you. “W-wait, you kissed me and I missed it. I'm sorry, I know this is awkward, but you'll have to do it again.”

“You missed it?” He chuckled. “How in the world did you manage to do that?” Too amused to be offended, Robin leaned in close to you once more and placed a second kiss directly on your lips. “Did you catch it that time, or should I do it again?”

Staring straight down at the ground, you gave him a little shrug and mumbled out your answer. “I don't mind that. If you wanted to kiss me again, I wouldn't stop you.”

“Unfortunately, I have no choice but to stop him.” Ranulf entered the tent, placed his hands on his hips and smiled. “Your time is up.” A thoughtful look appeared on his face as his tail began twitching from side to side. “You know, I kind of expected things to get crazy when the sun set, but you Beorc just get lazy and lethargic.” He smirked, obviously only teasing the two of you. “Well, that's just another point for the Laguz I guess.”
