“You know what guys? I've come to the conclusion that no matter how many people play this game, there will always be more. It won't ever end.” Yuffie's eyes got wide as she stood there lost in thought. “Never.”
“Okay then, I think Yuffie might need to take a nap. She's started spacing out on us.” Without Yuffie even noticing, you walked up to the hat and pulled out a dirty, chipped, and heavily tarnished coin. “This looks pretty old.”
Realizing you were holding his item, Vaan stood up, stretched and walked over to you. “It might be old. I don't really know anything about it though. I just kind of found it laying around while I was walking in the mines, and decided to pick it up.”
“Ah, well I guess it's better to use something you don't mind losing for this sort of thing. Anyway, we should probably head to the closet, Yuffie's still out of it.” Taking the lead, you grabbed Vaan's hand and pulled him into the closet. Once the door was shut you sat down only inches away from him and offered him a wide smile. “So, have you ever done anything like this before?”
“No, not really.” Your closeness was obviously making him a bit uncomfortable, but Vaan did his best to ignore that and just proceed with the game. “I don't usually have time to play games. I'm up for anything though.”
“Anything?” You raised an eyebrow and scooted even closer. “Like anything, anything?”
The tips of Vaan's ears began to turn a light shade of pink, yet he managed to keep his facial expression relatively neutral. “Anything within reason. I don't think it would be a good idea to do anything too crazy you know. There are other people out there and we never know when the door might open. Especially with Yuffie the way she is.”
“I guess that's understandable.” You tapped your chin with your forefinger and took a couple of seconds to think. “So, would kissing be within reason? We could stop that in an instant and no one would have to see.”
Vaan rubbed the back of his head and looked up to the ceiling. “I guess, it's just-.”
“Thank you Vaan, that's all I needed to hear.” Before he could say or do anything that might foil your plans you tackled him, knocking him into the wall behind him and landing with your legs on either side of his waist.
“Hey, hang on just a second, this is a whole lot more than kissing. I didn't say this was okay.” With you on top of him, Vaan's face finally expressed the embarrassment he'd been trying to hide.
“What are you talking about, I haven't even started kissing you yet.” You slowly leaned down and placed your hands next to his shoulders. Every move you made caused Vaan's face to darken in colour. “For someone who's supposed to be a fearless sky pirate, you sure do seem scared.” Now so close to him, your noses were actually touching, you gave him a very short, very innocent kiss. “That wasn't so bad now was it?”
“No, but you tricked me. I thought you were going to do, something else. Never mind.” Too embarrassed to even look at you, Vaan simply rolled over, effectively knocking you off of him and crawled towards the door.
“I wouldn't try to escape me Vaan, that door's locked from the outside. You're stuck in here with me until Yuffie comes out of her trance.” A crooked smile exploded over your face. “So until that happens, you're all mine.”
Vaan huddled against the wall, brought his knees into his chest and wrapped his arms around his legs. “Great, I get stuck with the crazy chick.” He sighed. “I really have to start listening to Penelo.”

He would never describe himself as the type to hold on so tightly to anything, even something as important as family or romantic love. All of his life, he pictured himself with a gunblade in his hand, facing the enemy unafraid. Even his father didn't really matter too much to him, true to his overall person. Almost everywhere he turned, he was ridiculed for his cold attitude

The REUNION [Chapter 2]
When the next day rolled over, you'd taken it upon yourself to see to it that he can talk properly. From the few moments you'd spent with him - more like hours, provided you'd woken him before dawn touched the environment -, you'd noticed that he would have a lot of trouble with saying proper sentences and would instead irritably sit there and look at you like he was expecting you to pick up on everything. Luckily for him, you'd done your best and at least got close. Encouraged by the equal interest, you'd written down some sentences, some of them tongue twisters, for him to practice on.
As you're here, cleaning the brute's face, y

Strings of Fate (Kuja X Reader)
The rain poured down just outside your window. It pelted the window with mercilessly. A loud clap of thunder shook the house slightly, making you jump. Lightning was flashing so often outside, it looked like a strobe light.
You weren’t one for storms since they could get pretty nasty where you were living. About a year ago, a storm rolled through and a tornado hit the ground. It tore the town to pieces. Few buildings and houses were left standing. You were one of the lucky ones. The town was slowly being built back to the way it was, but it was sad to know that there were still homeless people out there waiting for their house to be re
