Yuffie looked down into her now very light hat and sighed. “My poor hat is almost empty you guys. We're going to have to get some new players and soon. I'm not ready for this to end yet.” She sniffled like she was about to cry. “I guess all good things have to come to an end.” She tossed the hat towards you, loosing several items along the way.

“Careful Yuffie. There might be something breakable in here.” You picked up all but one of the dropped items and placed them back inside the hat. The last item you saved for yourself. It was a small piece of dark purple cloth. “I'm fairly certain I know who this belongs to.” With the cloth in hand, you walked directly to Cecil and compared it to his cape. “As I thought.”

Cecil gave you a little nod, confirming your suspicions. “You thought correctly. I'm surprised you were able to identify that as mine so easily. You must have a good memory.”

“I don't know about that. But I do know that we should get ourselves in the closet before Yuffie gets annoyed with us.” With a wide smile on your face, you grabbed his hands and gently tugged him towards the closet. Surprisingly, he seemed embarrassed and even a little reluctant to go with you. This seemed a little odd to you, but you decided to just ignore it and continue on with the game. Once you were in the closet with the door shut, he seemed even more awkward. “Is everything alright?”

“Oh, yes. Everything's perfectly alright.” He waved off your concern and attempted to smile. “It's just a slight case of nerves I'm afraid.”

The idea of a knight being nervous was foreign to you. Knights were supposed to be tough and unshakable. Looking at Cecil right now, you saw almost the complete opposite of what you expected to see. “There's no reason for us to be nervous.” You sat down and winked up at him teasingly. “I don't usually bite unless provoked.”

“Well then, I'll be sure not to provoke you.” He sat down rather stiffly, crossed his legs in front of him and almost immediately started fidgeting.

Trying not to giggle at just how terribly awkward he was, you gently placed your hand over his and grinned. “Calm down. I already told you that I don't bite. I might kiss you in a minute though.” Blushing slightly, you scooted just a little bit closer to him. “I just wanted to make sure I gave you a fair warning before I actually did it.”

He shut his eyes and nodded weakly, unsure how you really expected him to respond to what you'd just said. “O-oh, well, thank you, I think. At least now I'm not in the dark.”

“You're very welcome.” Now more than close enough to carry out your plans, you leaned forward and started to smirk. “I'm just wondering, would now be a good time for me to kiss you, or should I wait until our times up and the door's open?”

Cecil swallowed hard, steadied his breathing and answered quietly. “Since I doubt I'd be able to talk you out of it, I believe my first option would be the better of the two.”

“Sounds good to me.” Even though you knew he wasn't exactly enthusiastic about this, you weren't going to let that stop you. Placing a single hand on his cheek, you leaned in and carried out your plan. You weren't sure if he was doing it subconsciously, or on purpose, either way, Cecil had started to lean away from you. “Hey, stop running away, you're provoking me.”

“Sorry.” He flushed. “I didn't mean to.”

“I'll forgive you this time I guess. Now hold still.” Once again you tried to kiss him. This time he held perfectly still. He was so still, you weren't even sure if he was breathing or not. With your second attempt to kiss him just as awkward as the first, you pulled away and sighed. “We're really going to have to work on that.”

Your words left him stunned. “What do you mean by that?”

Before you could answer him, Yuffie burst through the door with a wide, almost wicked looking smile on her face. “I hate to say it Cecil, but I think you might have just acquired a stalker. Good luck getting rid of her. Once a girl sets her eyes on a guy, there's no escaping them.”
