Obviously growing tired of his own game, only because of the last couple of players, Laito stepped in front of the group and sneered. “If this turn isn't any better than the last few we've had, I might have to take a second turn, just to remind you all how the game is supposed to be played. So, unless you want that to happen, I suggest you all step it up.” After uttering his attempt at a warning, Laito walked around the room with his hand on his chin in search of the next female participant. A moment or two later, he reached down and grabbed a hold of your wrist. “You're next, get up.”

Before he could pull you to your feet, you shook off his hand and stood up. “I know how to walk. I don't need you grabbing at me like that.” Shoving him away, you pushed passed Laito and made your way to the box of items. Once there, you looked into the box and scanned the items within. This was, of course, against the rules, but you really didn't care. After carefully examining everything within the box, you picked up a small, elegant spoon. “I pick this.”

“That belongs to me.” Recognizing the item as his own, Reiji pushed himself out of his seat and stepped towards you. No one said anything, but they could already tell that this turn was going to be interesting. As soon as he was close enough, he took the spoon out of your hand and carefully placed it in the inner pocket of his suit.

Not willing to wait for him any longer, you grabbed his jacket, at the elbow and tugged him into the spare room. Ignoring the dangers that came with being alone with him, you closed the door, locking yourself in. “You know, you seem pretty possessive over that spoon. That's weird.”

Brushing you off, Reiji quickly straightened his now wrinkled suit and glared at you. “Your manners are absolutely deplorable. I suggest you fix them.”

“So I've been told.” You shrugged. “We've only got seven minutes in here though.. There's no time for me to worry about being all prim and proper. The very idea of this game should make it obvious that manners and politeness aren't important when playing.” Crossing your arms over your chest, you let out a rude sounding snort. “If everyone that played this game took the time for formalities, nothing would ever happen.”

Reiji couldn't deny the truth in your words, but your attitude still infuriated him. For this reason, he refused to admit that you may be right in any sense. “Using proper manners takes no longer than using poor ones. I said nothing of formalities.”

“Right. That's all fine and dandy, but you're wasting our time.” A little annoyed by the fact that the two of you hadn't so much as sat down yet, you rolled your eyes and groaned. “Look, if all you're going to do is reprimand me about my manners and attitude, I think I should just end this turn now.” Though usually able to keep his calm, your rudeness had gotten to Reiji. Unable to take anymore, he tightly wrapped his fingers around your wrist and pulled you to him. He'd used so much force, your chest roughly slammed against his, causing a few seconds of dizziness. When you were able to focus again, you saw his pale red eyes, narrowed and fixed on yours. “I ticked you off, huh? I was wondering when I'd finally get a rise out of you.”

Holding your wrist so tight his knuckles had started to go white, Reiji clenched his jaw in an attempt to keep his voice even. “You wanted to upset me?”

“Yup. I could tell as soon as I saw you that you were going to be boring. Getting you mad was the only way I could think of to get you to show some emotion. It worked.” Proud that you'd been able to change his attitude so dramatically, you smirked. “Too bad my hand is falling asleep though. That's going to make this game so much less romantic than it could have been.”

Just to spite you, Reiji, tightened his hold once more. If he had decided to hold you any tighter, your wrist might have already snapped in half. “I assure you, this game wouldn't be romantic under any circumstances.”

“Oh, I don't think that's true at all.” Not scared, though you really should have been, you lifted yourself onto your tiptoes and pressed your lips to his. Your kiss had surprised him so much, he didn't even try to pull away. Pleased that you'd been able to manipulate his mood, yet again, you started to smile before you'd even ended the kiss. “Had you not been so boring, I could have made these seven minutes, terribly romantic.” You sighed. “If only you'd given me the chance to do so.”

Reiji hastily opened his mouth to speak, but the door opened before he'd managed to say anything. Stepping inside the room, Laito flicked on the light, his expression quickly dropping when he saw the two of you still standing just inside the doorway. “You didn't even taste her? I expected more from you.” He scoffed. “I should have known.” Though disappointed, Laito was now, for some reason, smiling. “It looks like I'm going to have to have to take that second turn after all.”
